I was born in Wiltshire but spent my childhood growing up in New Zealand and later in the Northwest of England. I moved to London aged 18 and studied for my BSc in Biochemistry at Queen Mary's, University of London.

After graduation, I trained as a Research Scientist in the Immunology Dept of Harefield Hospital. Harefield has a pioneering immunology program and I enjoyed being part of the heart/lung transplant team, researching novel immunosuppressants. After leaving the bench in search of a more corporate environment, I began my career in conference production and joined Informa in 2002. Starting out as a junior producer, I later became Managing Director of PTI in 2010.

In 2022, after a 2-year sabbatical and ongoing treatment for Breast Cancer, I have happily re-joined Informa as part of the EBD team! I live in Chiswick with my husband Michael and our teenagers, Harry and Emily. Both kids are keen rowers, so we spend a lot of our spare time down by the river!
