Boston becomes the center of business development worldwide for biotechnology and pharmaceutical executives during three days in September at BioPharm America™.  As dealmaking reaches a peak in life sciences for 2010, this prestigious partnering meeting presents an unrivalled opportunity to help companies raise capital, form licensing agreements, and enter co-development deals.

The influential MassBio Investors Forum has been folded into this year’s BioPharm America meeting, creating what MassBio President and CEO Robert K. Coughlin called, “a unique, high powered business exchange that unites the international biotech partnering and financial communities.”

“This is a stellar combination that will help ensure that BioPharm America is the place where successful partnerships get started,” Coughlin said, “This puts Boston at the crossroads of innovative biotechnology companies, top-tier venture capital, and big pharma research and development.”

To be held September 15–17, 2010 at the Marriott Boston Copley Place, BioPharm America is expected to draw the active participation of the large Massachusetts-based life science community.

Creating one-to-one meetings between companies is the main focus of BioPharm America, an activity powered by partneringONE®, the industry’s most advanced partnering system.

The average schedule among all participants is 20 meetings during the event, not including impromptu conversations at stand-up bistro tables nor the hallway encounters inspired by the contact-intensive ambiance of this landmark meeting.

Social events that aim to break the ice and start conversations include the Welcome Reception set for Tuesday, September 14 in the Third Floor Atrium space of the Marriott Boston Copley Place, or else the Evening Reception and Dinner at the Harvard Club of Boston.

A keynote address by Robert Langer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology leads off the BioPharm America conference program, followed by back-to-back panel discussions “The New Healthcare Ecosystem: What is Biotech’s Role?” and “Open Innovation: All for One and One for All?” which will be led by Glen Giovannetti, Global Biotechnology Leader for Ernst & Young.

This year’s program features a unique series of parallel session aimed at sparking discussion and developing new insights in specific partnering areas.

Taken together, these elements of the event create a powerful platform for partnering at BioPharm America 2010, where companies can efficiently identify and meet with potential partners from across the biotech value chain, and gain the intelligence needed to make better decisions and better deals.
