Powering the partnering: 5,800 meetings scheduled

Then, during the two days in Atlanta, it all comes together in the real world as participants shake hands in over a thousand face-to-face meetings.
The partneringONE platform running behind the scenes at BIO-Europe Spring® 2008 in Madrid scheduled 5,800 one-to-one meetings for the 1,400 participants.
The technical team with event organizer EBD Group, the developer of partneringONE, shared some statistics with Partnering News about the most recent event.
- 3,000 log-ins per day to the partneringONE software occurred during the event.
- Between 250 and 300 laptops were connected to the network at any given moment during the event.
- 40 gigabytes of Internet traffic on the LAN network during the intensive exchanges on the first day through mid-day on the second day of the event.
- Another 15-20 gigabytes of Internet traffic passed over the wifi network available during the same period.
- 5 kilometers of network cable was wired specifically for BIO-Europe Spring 2008 by the technical team ahead of the event.
- 107 notebook computers were installed for quick access by participants.
- 50 internet terminals.
- 32 dedicated partnering terminals.
